»Instead of creating an artwork with children, I would like to invite them to participate in a workshop on immobility that directs our attention towards our notion of childhood, the problems, the tensions that children are subject to, and for which they are often the triggers. During the rehearsals for enfant, the children often told me stories about Cowboys and Indians, about the Indians dancing around tied-up cowboys. Today, we know that the Indians lost the struggle. And yet, they are the ones that we commemorate: homage to those who no longer move.« (Boris Charmatz)
In the framework of No Education, French dancer and choreographer Boris Charmatz will meet with a group of local children from August 20 to August 24. links will take place within the framework of the Live Art exhibition 12 Rooms at Museum Folkwang.
