Fastenbeginn (Start of Lent)

According to the express instructions of Karlheinz Stockhausen, performers must fast before the performance of Goldstaub. The fast is inaugurated by a musical gathering, in which Markus Stockhausen’s ensemble stage the text compositions Treffpunkt, Intensität und Unbegrenzt from the collection Aus den sieben Tagen by Karlheinz Stockhausen.

Ticket price reductions
If you buy a ticket for Fastenbeginn as well as a ticket for Tamar, you will be eligible for a discount of 5 euros on your ticket for the Fastenbeginn. All you need to do is choose the discount option ‘plus Tamar’ when you are booking online.
If you wish to book a ticket for Tamar alone, you can do so as part of the early-booking or multiple-ticket special offers. However this does not apply for Fastenbeginn. Unfortunately if you are only booking for this event, it is not possible to take advantage of other special offers.
