Emmanuel Villaume
The conductor Emmanuel Villaume was born in Straßburg and studied literature, philosophy and music at the Straßburg Conservatoire and in Paris. Villaume has conducted concerts in Venice, Washington, New York, Los Angeles, London und Vienna. He has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Indianapolis and is the Musical Director of the Spoleto Festival, USA. In September 2009 he take up the post of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra.
