The Swiss pianist Simone Keller trained with Hans-Jürg Strub at the Zürich University of the Arts. She performs a broad solo and chamber music repertoire of classical and modern music that also extends to experimental and interdisciplinary forms, her own original concepts and outreach projects, making concert appearances in Switzerland, Europe, the USA and Asia. She has been awarded numerous international prizes and awards. In 2018, Intakt Records released a highly successful recording of the piano music of Julius Eastman played by Simone Keller’s piano quartet. It was praised by the Boston Globe as one of the best classical albums and named Album of the Year 2018 by The New York City Jazz Records. In 2019, Simone Keller was awarded the International Bodensee Conference’s Young Artists’ Prize for her interpretation of contemporary music and was nominated for the Classical:NEXT Innovation Award.
