Graham F. Valentine

Born in Scotland, brexiled, and a graduate of Aberdeen University, he also studied in Zürich and with Lecoq in Paris. He has appeared at the National, Covent Garden, the Opéra Bastille, Teatro Real, Staatsoper Berlin, Staatsoper Hamburg, with Scottish Opera, Stuttgart Opera, Vlaamse Opera, at the Théâtre de la Monnaie, Volksbühne Berlin, Hamburg Schauspielhaus, Burgtheater Vienna, Staatstheater Mannheim, Staatstheater Mainz, Théâtre de la Colline in Paris, and all over Switzerland. Extensive experience with Deborah Warner, Claude Régy, Anna Viebrock, Graham Vick. Has worked for over 40 years with Christoph Marthaler, as in Stunde Null, Pierrot Lunaire, Winch Only, Twentieth Century Blues, Was Ihr Wollt, Seemannslieder, Papperlapapp, Meine Faire Dame, Die Wehleider, 44 Harmonies from ApartmentHouse 1776 etc. Has appeared at the Salzburg, Edinburgh and Avignon festivals, at the Ruhrtriennale and the Berlin Theatertreffen. Soloist with Klangforum Wien, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Freiburger Barockorchester, Balthasar-Neumann Ensemble, Hebrides Ensemble, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Appearances at Munich Biennale, Venice Biennale, Musikfest Berlin, Warsaw Philharmonia.
