Concerts in Maschinenhaus: Quatuor Ébène and Éric Le Sage

For several years now, the French string quartet Quatuor Ébène has for several years now been one of the world’s most popular ensembles. The program will combine two masterpieces by Mozart and Bartók with Fauré’s First Piano Quartet, rarely performed here, joined by pianist Éric Le Sage.

The weekly shift of perspective from the large halls to the spatial proximity and concentration of solo recitals of musicians from the international improvisational community and classical chamber music, once again defines the rhythm of the festival. The direct contact to the musicians and the wonderfully balanced acoustics of Maschinenhaus enables a view of details and thus intensifies the experience of music.
