Hidden Mother
Inspired by Marina Abramović, Morton Feldman, and Rebecca Horn, the Swedish-German trio Hidden Mother combines sound art, everyday life, and performance in its interventions. The hidden mother was a widespread technique used in photography studios to keep young children still while posing for a picture.
Pontus Langendorf, Magdalena Meitzner and Ulrik Nilsson are professional percussionists who work not only with traditional percussion instruments, but also utilize a wide spectrum of sound objects. For Ruhrtriennale, they will produce audio graffiti for the first time together with young people. Hidden Mother lives and works in Stockholm.
