Bojana Cvejić

Bojana Cvejić earned PhD in philosophy (CRMEP, London) and MA and BA in musicology (University of Arts, Belgrade). She has been lecturer at Utrecht University (2009-2013), and she also teaches at contemporary dance schools (P.A.R.T.S. etc.) and works as theorist and performance maker in Europe.  Author, dramaturg and/or performer in many performance works since 2000 with a.o. J. Ritsema, X. Le Roy, E. Salamon, M. Ingvartsen, C. De Smedt. She directed five opera performances in Belgrade since 1996, the last Don Giovanniat BITEF, Belgrade, 2008.  Apart from publishing in journals (Performance Research, The Drama Review, Maska, Frakcija, TkH Journal, Etcetera, New Sound etc.) and edited volumes of essays, Cvejić is author/editor of several books (Otvoreno delo u muzici: Boulez, Stockhausen i Cage, SKC, Belgrade, 2006, in Serbian; IZVAN MUZIČKOG DELA: PERFORMATIVNA PRAKSA Erika Satija, Dzona Kejdža, Fluksusa, La Monta Janga I Džona Zorna, IKZS, Sremski Karlovci, 2007, in Serbian; A Choreographer’s Score: Fase, Rosas Danst Rosas, Elena’s Aria, Bartók, co-authored with A. Pristaš, TkH/CDU, Belgrade/Zagreb, 2013; En Atendant & Cesena: A Choreographer’s Score, co-authored with A. T. De Keersmaeker, Mercatorfonds, Brussels, 2013). Cvejić is a co-founding member of the editorial collective TkH (Walking Theory) from Belgrade since 2000. She curated the exhibition “Danse-Guerre” at Musée de la danse, Centre Chorégraphique de Rennes et Bretagnes, Rennes, currently on show.
