Alina Ibragimova
Performing music from baroque to new commissions on both modern and period instruments, Alina Ibragimova, born in Russia in 1985, has appeared with orchestras including the London Symphony, BBC Symphony, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Stuttgart Radio Symphony, Seattle Symphony Orchestra, with conductors including Sir Charles Mackerras, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Valery Gergiev, Paavo Järvi, Vladimir Jurowski, Philippe Herreweghe and Osmo Vänskä.
In recital and chamber music and in close musical partnership with her Chiaroscuro Quartet Alina Ibragimova appears regularly in venues including the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Wigmore Hall in London (where she recently performed the complete Beethoven sonatas with duo partner Cédric Tiberghien), Mozarteum Salzburg, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Lincoln Center New York. She is a guest at festivals including Kammermusikfest SPANNUNGEN in Heimbach, Heidelberger Frühling, MDR Musiksommer, Salzburger Mozartwoche, Manchester International Festival und City of London Festival.
Ibragimova is a former pupil of the Moscow Gnesin and Yehudi Menuhin school and the Royal College of Music London. Alina has been a member of the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme, recipient of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust award and winner of a Classical BRIT.
