Christian Marclay, Swiss- American visual artist, performer, and composer, has had great success around the world and been acknowledged for his explorations in both the world of sound and the visual arts. In 2001, he was awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale for his 24-hour visual work The Clock. Everyday is a musical visual performance based on a set of brief film clips. Five musicians take the clips as inspiration for their improvisation. By doing so, the focus is placed on both the process of emergence and the resulting music.
