Finnland 2002, 97', Director: Aki Kaurismäki

A nameless man arrives in an unknown city. He is attacked and beaten. At the hospital the only thing they know is he will die. However, the man leaves the hospital and goes back to the place where his previous life was extinguished and begins another one. In a container village the nameless man has the chance to start again. Kaurismäki presents a drastic and penetrating portrait of the poverty and abandonment of the Finnish underclass while also showing moments of hope and longing.
