Kulturloge Ruhr enables people with low incomes to attend events and take part in the cultural life of the Ruhr metropolis by enabling them to acquire unsold tickets free of charge. The Ruhrtriennale supports Kulturloge Ruhr’s work and is making tickets available for the first time this year.

On the pages of the kulturserver-nrw website, creative artists as well as those who work in cultural institutions and organisations will have the opportunity to present themselves and their work. In addition, the website offers various tools to enable visitors to create their own internet business cards for example, publicise events or even present projects and institutions on an own homepage.

It was Gérard Mortier’s wish that the Essen bookshop Proust would serve as a »stage for books« at the Ruhrtriennale right from the beginning and this has continued under the directorship of Jürgen Flimm and Willy Decker. Proust will once again be represented at almost all the venues for the Ruhrtriennale 2011 with a selection of books and CDs to accompany the themses of the performances. »An excellent bookshop… quite remarkable!«, is the view of theatre director Luc Bondy, and Claus Leggewie (KWI) says: »Proust is a pearl!«
