Steven Sloane
The American conductor has been General Music Director of the Bochumer Symphoniker since 1994 and Chief Conductor of the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra since the 2007/2008 season. As one of the artistic directors of Ruhr.2010, the multiple award-winner Steven Sloane is responsible for conceiving the program for the European Capital of Culture 2010. For the Ruhrtriennale Steven Sloane was musical director of the football oratorio Die Tiefe des Raumes (2005) and Die Soldaten (2006 and 2007).
