Sarband
The ensemble Sarband is an international chamber music ensemble founded in 1986 by Dr. Vladimir Ivanoff which has specialized in musical relationships between Orient and Occident, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, for which it has already received numerous prizes. Sarband have so far released over thirty CDs and performed at countless international festivals. Above all, however, Sarband wish to demonstrate that music is not simply décor but a medium of mutual respect open to the world and can also be a contemporary paradigm of understanding and recognition, an example of peace.
