Pilar Buira Ferre
The freelance dancer and choreographer was born in Lleida, Spain in 1961. She trained at the Ecole international de Danse Rosella Hightower Cannes and the Folkwang Hochschule Essen. Her teachers included Carolyn Carlson , Josef Nadj, Jean Cebron, Steve Patox and Hans Zullig. She has toured the world in a variety of theatre and dance productions as well as with her own productions. From 1990 to 2003 she has worked as a lecturer in modern dance and choreography at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. She worked with Theater Total in Bochum from 1996 to 2003 and has run the cultural project Kulturraum im Rosenhof since 1999. She undertook further training in Danse sensible in 2009.
