Peter Rundel
has become renowned for extraordinary versatility in his work with major European orchestras and as a brilliant specialist in contemporary music. He also conducts opera productions with leading directors and has collected numerous prizes for his recordings. From 1998 to 2001 he was chief conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Flanders together with Philippe Herreweghe. From 1999 to 2001 he took over the musical directorship of the Kammerakademie Potsdam. He has conducted the Wiener Taschenoper since 1999 and been the Music Director of the Remix Ensemble in Porto since January 2005.
