Khan of Finland
Khan was born Can Oral of Turkish-Finnish parentage in Frankfurt. He went to New York and ran his own record shop there. At the same time he also produced hundreds of records in various styles under more than ten different names. His numerous projects and collaborations include Kid & Khan (with Kid Congo Powers) and Legally Jammin (with Little Annie). Khan is best known as the co-founder of the decadent dance duo Captain Comatose which became a pioneer of electronic discotrash with hits like $100 and Up In Flames. His current trio Trio Khan Of Finland, which includes beatboxer Mark Boombastik and pianist Boris Bergmann, experiments and improvises with a wide range of sounds.
