Jens Hillje
The dramaturg grew up in Italy and Lower Bavaria and studied Applied Literary Studies in Perugia, Hildesheim and Berlin. Following his studies he worked on theatre projects with children and young people and then founded the Baracke at the Deutsches Theater in 1996 with Thomas Ostermeier (Theatre of the Year 1998). From 1999 to 2009 he was a member of the artistic team and chief dramaturg of Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz. Jens Hillje is currently working as a freelance dramaturg.
