There is scarcely anyone else who represents culturally-uniting thoughts as consequently as Jordi Savalli, who, by tracking down and performing musical treasures from the most different cultures of the entire world awakens a consciousness and interest that towers above an individual’s own cultural horizons.  During the matinee, Jordi Savalli, named EU ambassador for intercultural dialogue in 2008, will talk to artistic director Willy Decker about his artistic and humanistic intentions and demonstrate why his gamba-playing is instantly recognisable.
