The Jahrhunderthalle, our central festival venue, provides an atmospheric backdrop to the official start to the third Ruhrtriennale. Artistic director Willy Decker and his team will be there to welcome you and present an overview of a season that is packed with highly original productions, thrilling creations and captivating concerts. We invite you to join us for entertaining conversations with actors, singers, musicians, and to sample selections from our broad and varied programme, full of exciting plays and music.

At 8 pm the legendary singer and actress Marianne Faithfull will open this year’s Century of Song series with the concert, Heaven and Hell.
