Norman Hacker

Norman Hacker was born in Enns, Austria. He trained at the Franz Schubert Konservatorium in Vienna from 1982 to 1984 and whilst still studying accepted an engagement at the Ensembletheater am Petersplatz in Vienna, where he remained until he went to the Schauspielhaus Graz in 1986. He has been at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg since the 2000/01 season and has worked with many directors, including Michael Thalheimer, Stefan Kimmig and Martin Kusej.  Norman Hacker has performed at the Bad Hersfelder as well as the Salzburger Festspiele, and in 2007 played in Corpus Delicti as part of the Ruhrtriennale. As well as stage appearances, he can also be seen on television and in film. In 2001 Norman Hacker won the Große Festspielpreis Bad Hersfeld and in 2006 the Rita Tanck-Glaser Schauspielpreis for his acting.
