Michael Boder
The concert and opera conductor Michael Boder studied at the Hamburg Musikhochschule and in Florence. In 1989, not yet 30, he was appointed musical director at Oper Basel. He has been freelance since 1993, working on large stages all over the world, including in Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, and Vienna, as well as in Zurich, San Francisco, Lisbon, London, Copenhagen and Tokyo. Boder is now General Music Director of the Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona.
