Ivo van Hove
Ivo van Hove began his career as a director in 1981 with productions of his own texts. In 1988 he started staging work at Het Zuidelijk Toneel in Eindhoven, and two years later was made artistic director. From 1997 to 2004 he was director of the annual Holland Festival. Since 2001 Ivo von Hove has been artistic director of the Toneelgroep Amsterdam. His productions are regularly invited to the biggest international festivals. He frequently stages work in Germany and made his first guest appearance at the Ruhrtriennale in 2008 with Rocco und seine Brüder.
