André Jung
The actor André Jung was born in Luxemburg and attended the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart from 1973 to 1976. From 1976 onwards he was engaged by theatres in Heidelberg, Zurich, Brussels, Strasbourg and Frankfurt am Main – amongst others. This was followed by engagements in the ensembles of Theater Basel (1988–1993), the Deutsche Schauspielhaus (1993–2000) and the Schauspielhaus in Zurich (2000–2004). He has been a member of the ensemble of the Münchner Kammerspiele since 2004. In 1981 and 2002 André Jung was nominated Actor of the Year by the jury of Theater Heute magazine, and in 2000 he received the Rita-Tanck-Schauspielpreis from the Kulturstiftung in Hamburg. As well as performing on stage, André Jung can also be seen on television and in film.
