Is you me A duet for two unique artists

Is you me is a duet for Louise Lecavalier and Benoît Lachambre, choreographed by Lachambre and with projections by Laurent Goldring. Is you me is the second collaboration for Canadian Lecavalier, considered one of the icons of contemporary dance, and her fellow-countryman Lachambre, whose dance company PAR B.L.EUX (founded in 1996) retains a permanent leading position in the contemporary dance scene. During their collaboration on I is Memory, a solo for Lecavalier that was seen at the PACT Zollverein in 2006, they developed a deep personal connection and became aware of a mutual movement-vocabulary. Reason enough for these two unique artists to continue to deepen their collaboration with a second production.

In Is you me, Lecavalier and Lachambre search for the essence of dance itself. The piece celebrates the fruits of the many years of separate interests and experiences of the two artists. After the great success of their last collaboration, lauded equally by the audience and the press, and marking a milestone in the work of Benoît Lachambre, Is you me signals a further progression in the choreographic and dance creativity of these two protagonists of contemporary dance. It will be awaited with bated breath.
