Fremde Heimat Stories and poems in one language by young authors from many cultures

With:
Sherko Fatah, Nuran David Calis, Daniela Janjic
Set:
Joachim Janner

The event Fremde Heimat gives voice to young poets who feel like strangers but are looking for, or have even found, ways to overcome their foreignness, to deal with it creatively: artists, who live in two parallel worlds and view this is an opportunity; artists, who set out on a journey of discovery to vanquish foreigness.

How do themes, text, even language change? What does it mean to be German? We are commissioning short texts that will be read by the poets for the very first time at the Triennale. Following the readings, Eva-Maria Voigtländer and Thomas Wordehoff will invite both writers and audience to take part in a conversation.
