Händl Klaus

Händl Klaus was born in Rum, Tyrolia and is a maestro of ›Sprachkomposition‹ (a dissecting and re-assembling of words). Commissioned by the Münchner Kammerspiele and the RuhrTriennale, he has written a new play, in fact his first musical comedy Furcht und Zittern for the Nübling, Gerstner, Wittershagen team. The trio already premiered his plays Wilde oder der Man mit den traurigen Augen (2004) and Dunkel, lockender Welt (2006) at the Berliner Theatertreffen. 

In the 2004 Theater heute annual survey, Klaus was voted Young Author of the Year and in 2006 he was voted Author of the Year. He lives in Vienna, Berlin and Port am Bielersee (Switzerland).
