Earl Harvin

Earl Harvin comes from New Jersey, lived in Texas, Los Angeles and now Berlin.  He began taking percussion lessons at the age of nine. Later on he became a member of the One o`clock jazz big band at the jazz faculty of the University of North Texas. In Dallas he played in countless jazz and rock bands, such as the band Rubberbullet, and his own jazz-combo, the Earl Harvin Trio. Several years later he received an offer to play with the band MC 900 foot Jesus, at which point he came to the attention of managers of well-known artists. As a result he has played with people such as Seal, Craig Street, the Art of Noise, Joe Henry, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Air.

For the RuhrTriennale 2008 Earl Harvin can be heard at all Century of Song concerts Bridges On The River and Flesh and Blood, Hearts and Minds.
