Theatre Duisburg

The theatre belongs to one of the most distictive buildings of Duisburg. The front reminds of the temple entries of the ancient world. The large stage room of the theatre with its two galleries seats 1117 spectators. It was inaugurated 1912, reopened 1950 and refurbished 1970. In the Theater Duisburg, opera and ballet evenings of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, theatre performances as well as youth- and chamber concerts take place.
