RuhrFutur The making of...

At RuhrFutur, 2007 everything is about the making of a theatre- and music production. Where do the sources originate from, what was the determining idea, which were the most important influences ? And: What has been abandoned dauntlessly and why – freely adapted from the motto »kill your darlings«? We will bring forward the backgrounds and coherences, will offer insights into research and materials and, together with the participants of production, will reconstruct the developmental process of a stage production: What has to happen that out of the first inspiration of an author or composer a hearable, playable and tangible theatre work is going to emerge? A theatre production in which are actors, musicians, singers, directors, stage designers, technicians and many more are involved. We will debate with young theatre makers, will watch film documentations – and with some luck a rehearsal attendance will be manageable.
Two debut performances are at our focus: The play Next Level Parzival by Tim Staffel under the direction of Sebastian Nübling and Unter Eis by Falk Richter and Jörn Arnecke. Pupils, students, teachers, lecturers, theatre- or music addicts, together with the participating artists and with the dramaturgy of the RuhrTriennale  are invited to reconstruct the Making of both stagings.
Participation in all RuhrFutur events are free of admission. The visit of the performances are reduced in price for participants between 16 and 26, admission 10€. We ask for registration at the Junge Triennale in advance!
