All the good is a chronicle of loss and hope at a time when Europe is throwing away its values and a large group of people succumb to hatred and ignorance . On one side there is the life of the Israeli war veteran Elik Niv, who became a professional dancer, and on the other that of Jan Lauwers’ family of artists, between everyday life and the omnipresence of war and terror.
Artists have to do their very best for their ‘poetica’ to provide an answer to the all-devouring political suffocation we have ended up in. Brexit, Trump, Erdoğan, the abuse of our planet, the terror of an expansive economy, the loss of solidarity – those have to be dealt with politically. But the poetry of arts has to provide for the humanity.
