Corona information

The general hygiene rules apply at all Ruhrtriennale venues:

Admission to all Ruhrtriennale venues is only permitted with a medical mask or FFP2 mask. In order to ensure your safe stay, masks are also compulsory at the seat. Please ensure that the mask is always worn over the mouth and nose.

The legal minimum distance of 1.5 metres must be maintained on all paths. This minimum distance may only be undercut by persons living in the same household.

Please ensure regular hand hygiene. Sufficient disinfection dispensers and sanitary facilities are available for this purpose. Please also observe the cough and sneeze etiquette.

If you notice any corona symptoms or have contracted COVID 19, please stay at home. We will of course refund any tickets already purchased. 

In order to ensure that chains of infection can be traced, all tickets are personalised at the time of purchase. Should you purchase tickets for more than one person, the details of the additional guests must also be provided. Please note that tickets are not transferable.

At the time of the performance, visitors are required to carry their ID with them and present it upon request at the entrance.

Tickets ordered via the webshop at www.ruhrtriennale.de or the Ruhrtriennale hotline (0221 280 210) can be repersonalized up to two working days before the respective event.

For your visit to the Ruhrtriennale, a current negative corona test (max. 48 h old) or proof of immunisation through vaccination or recovery is required. Please have this proof and your identity card ready at the entrance.

Children and adolescents of compulsory school age up to 16 years of age are considered to be tested on the basis of their participation in the compulsory school tests. For pupils aged 16 and over, the proof of immunisation or testing is replaced by a certificate from the school. Children up to the age of school entry do not need a certificate.

If the booking is made through the school or if the performance is attended by a class, there is no need to provide proof of a school certificate for pupils over 16 years of age.

The seating at the venues shall be arranged in such a way that their arrangement complies at least with the applicable regulations.

As a rule, the seats are arranged individually and in pairs. You can check the exact arrangement of seats in the seat map when booking tickets online.

Wayfinding systems will be set up at the venues with the primary aim of maintaining minimum distances and avoiding counterflows. In this way, smooth entry and exit can be ensured. Please orientate yourself by the corresponding markings. Our front-of-house staff will be happy to assist you here.

Please check the respective production page on our website for duration and breaks. This information will be supplemented on an ongoing basis. If there are intermissions, the routing system established at the respective venue also applies in one direction without countercurrents to ensure smooth exit and re-entry into the auditorium.

In the event that events have to be cancelled due to Corona, we will of course refund the price of tickets already purchased. We will inform you about the exact procedure by e-mail and on our website.

Tickets already purchased can be returned in case of suspected COVID 19 or confirmed illness. Please contact your advance booking office before the event. Otherwise the general terms and conditions of Kultur Ruhr GmbH apply.

If you notice symptoms of an infection yourself or if you are a close contact person of a confirmed case of infection, please contact your doctor or the nationwide hotline (Tel. +49 116 117) immediately and go into quarantine.
