The band Wir hatten was mit Björn captivate audiences with their bewitchingly naked sound with raw notes that travel straight through your ears to your heart – pop music with weird instruments and songs that tell you what it’s like to be human.

Tonight the band will come together at the Ruhrtriennale as improvisers in the unusual configuration of the three musicians Maika Küster, Maria Trautmann und Manuel Loos, playing a few existing songs but mainly music created in the moment – pop meets free improvisation and the intimacy of voice and trombone laid over electronic beats.
