Richard Janssen

After a career in popmusic Richard Janssen started working as a theatre sound designer in 2002 and has since worked with various dutch theatercompany's such as 'Toneelgroep Amsterdam', 'The National Theatre The Hague', 'Wunderbaum', 'De Warme Winkel', 'The Ulrike Quade Company', 'Oostpool' and many others.
2004 saw the start of a long lasting collaboration with director Susanne Kennedy resulting in award winning plays such as 'The Pelican' at Toneelgroep Amsterdam (Best director Award),'Fegefeuer in Ingolstadt' at Münchner Kammerspiele(Theatertreffen 2014/3Sat Preis,) and 'Warum läuft Herr R. Amok' at Münchner Kammerspiele(Theatertreffen 2015).
In 2017 he will be working with director Susanne Kennedy on plays for the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Volksbühne.
Richard Janssen currently lives in Berlin and Amsterdam.
