Michael Lippold

Michael Lippold was born in Regensburg in 1970. In 1996, he completed his degree in acting at Bern’s Hochschule der Künste. After debuting as Hamlet at Theater Augsburg, he performed in Constance, at Zurich’s Schauspielhaus, at Munich’s Volkstheater, and in Salzburg, and from 2005 to 2015 was a member of the ensemble at Schauspielhaus Bochum, where he played the title role in the premiere of the celebrated play “Genannt Gospodin” by Philipp Löhle, for which he was nominated as best upcoming actor in 2007/08 in the critic surveys of Welt am Sonntag NRW and Theater pur. Michael Lippold has worked with directors like Jorinde Dröse, Lisa Nielebock, Anna Bergmann, Chistian Stückl, Kristo Šagor, Wilfried Minks, Elmar Goerden, and Armin Holz. He is currently performing in Bochum at Rottstr5 Theater in two Dostoyevsky solo performances “Dream of a Ridiculous Man” and “The Grand Inquisitor”. Since 2010, he has also worked as a director in Bonn, Cologne, Bern and Regensburg.
