Laura Olivi studied German and theatre studies in Bologna and at the Humboldt University in Berlin. From 1987 to 2001 she was engaged as a dramaturg at the Münchner Kammerspiele and since 2001 at the Residenztheater in Munich. Since 2002 she is also teaching at the Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich. She worked (amongst others) with Robert Wilson, Franz Xaver Kroetz, Herbert Achternbusch, Christian Stückl, Jan Bosse, Tina Lanik, Barbara Frey and Herbert Fritsch.She adapted numerous classical texts for audiobooks and staged readings. Since 2011 Laura Olivi is responsible for international projects at the Residenztheater in Munich under the directorship of Martin Kušej.
