Julian Slagman was born in 1993. He has been a student at the Neue Schule für Fotografie in Berlin since 2013. His work aims to circumscribe appearances relevant to the everyday in an essayistic manner. Most of his subjects deal with the relationship between humanity and nature in inner cities. He has exhibited series of works in cities including Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Friedrichshafen and Copenhagen. In 2015 he won the Eagle Eye Contest held by Frankfurter Kunstverein and Trevor Paglen with a series about the new German Secret Service headquarters in Berlin. Julian Slagman lives and works in Hamburg and Berlin.
