Jele Brückner

Jele Brückner began acting during her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main, appearing in productions by Einar Schleef and Peter Palitzsch at Schauspiel Frankfurt.

After her studies she was a member of the ensemble at Düsseldorf’s Schauspielhaus. This was followed by performances at Schauspiel Bonn, Theater Bremen, Theatre de Vidy-Lausanne and at the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen. From 2000 to 2010, she was a fixed member of the ensemble at Schauspielhaus Bochum.

Since 2010 Jele Brückner has been working freelance, including roles at Centraltheater Leipzig, Theater Dortmund, Schauspiel Bonn, Staatstheater Mainz, Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Schauspiel Essen, Staatstheater Darmstadt as well as at Festival d’Avignon. She has worked with directors as Karin Henkel, David Bösch, Jorinde Dröse, Werner Schroeter, Matthias Hartmann, Elmar Goerden, Frank Abt, Alia Luque, Wilfried Minks, Hansgünther Heyme, Christoph Mehler, Moritz Peters, Bernhard Mikeska, Bernd Liepold-Mosser, Lukas Langhoff, Matthias Fontheim and much more.

Jele Brückner has also performed in numerous television productions and works regularly as a narrator. Additionally, she is working as a lecturer at Folkwang Universität der Künste.
