Frédéric Stochl

FRÉDÉRIC STOCHL works in multiple artistic universes. His dual formation, as a musician and as a dancer, leads him to realize many stagings and choreographies: Histoire du Soldat in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, at the Festival of Saint-Céré, Pierrot Lunaire in Aix-en-Provence and in the Festival du Marais, Un Voyage musical, written with Ivan Grinberg, at the Cité de la Musique in Paris and in Cologne, as well as personal creations.
He collaborates to musical and choreographic performances with artists as diverse as Jean-Claude Pennetier, Georges Aperghis, Garth Knox, Gerard Buquet, Ami Flammer, Gerard Bars.
Former member of the Ensemble Intercontemporain (From 1980 to 2013), he also performed as a soloist with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the Orchestre National de France, and created works by Franco Donatoni, Klaus Huber, Emmanuel Nunes, Denis Cohen, among others.
Frédéric Stochl is former Professor of chamber music at the Conservatoire de Paris (Paris Conservatory), where he has also run an instrumental theater workshop, and at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Strasbourg in dance.
