Emilio Pomàrico

Emilio Pomàrico, born in Buenos Aires, is an italien conductor and composer. After studying with Franco Ferrara (Siena) and Sergiu Celibidache (Munich), he launched an international career. Since the beginning of his career in 1983, he has been regularly invited by the most prominent European orchestras and theatres such as, among others, the Sinfonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunk in Munich, the WDR Sinfonieorchester Koeln, the Orchestra dell’Accademia di S.Cecilia in Rome, the Filarmonica della Scala, l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Bamberger Symphoniker, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg, the SWR Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart, Radio Filarmonish Orkest Holland, the RSO Wien, Konzerthaus Berlin Orchester, Opéra de Paris, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Opera Theatre in Rome, La Fenice Theatre in Venice, Teatro Sao Carlos Lisboa, the NYE Opera in Bergen, the Oslo Opera, the Graz Opera.

He is a regular guest to the major International Music Festivals like Salzburger Festspiele, Edinburgh International Festival, Festival d'Automne in Paris, Wiener Festwochen, Wien Modern, Berliner Festspiele, Berlin Biennale, Musica Viva in Munich, La Biennale Musica in Venice, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Musik der Zeit in Koeln, Musica in Strasbourg and Agorà Festival in Paris.
