Yumiko Funaya
Yumiko Funaya, geboren in Japan, studiert von 2002 bis 2004 Tanz am Japan Woman's College of Physical Education in Tokyo. 2004 beginnt sie eine weitere Ausbildung an der Schule für zeitgenössischen Tanz P.A.R.T.S. in Brüssel.
Ihre Arbeit mit Jan Lauwers & Needcompany beginnt mit The Deer House (2008). Sie ist Teil des Ensembles von The art of entertainment (2011), Needlapb und The House of Our Fathers. In Isabella's room übernimmt sie den Part von Louise Peterhoff. Ebenso übernimmt sie in The Porcelain Project von Grace Ellen Barkey den Part von Taka Shamoto. Yumiko Funaya performt darüber hinaus in This door is too small (for a bear)(2010) und MUSH-ROOM (2013) von Grace Ellen Barkey.
