Uncle Boonmee suffers from kidney failure and is about to die. One evening he is visited by the ghost of his dead wife and he also encounters his lost son in the form of a peaceful creature with red eyes. When the time for death comes, Uncle Boonmee retreats to a cave in the mountains where his first life began. A wonderful encounter with ghosts, souls and memories.
