The new performance of chor(e)ographies by VA Wölfl and his team is described as a triography - this is certainly not a merely play on words but a sophisticated and intricate production consisting of images, music and movement. Three chor(e)ographies whose processes of creation are related to one another and whose stories grow with the creative experiences of their performers. Three chor(e)ographies that ultimately extend telescopically like the legs of a tripod. Every play of NEUER TANZ is a further progression out of the previous and out of the prospective. The plays are a self-contained art genre and are withdrawn from any artistic statement. Within the framework of the perennial project Der Klausner in der dunklen Kammer the troupe compiles three plays: 12 is inspired by the novel Twelveof the American novelist Nick Mc Donell who released his debut feature at the age of 17 in the year 2002. Twelve is the name of a drug, similar to cocaine. Thus, this evening’s thematic range comprises hallucinations, changes of perspectives and illusions.
As a spectator of …im linken Rückspiegel auf dem Parkplatz von Woolworth you will look back into time, mirror-inverted, in order to finally discover the tracks and splitters of the Middle Ages in the third act. Over and over again, you are going to hear sound scraps of day-to-day music derived from the acustic garbage dumps of tempels to consumerism. Wölfi and his ensemble look into the abysses of medieval fantasies dragging the grimaces of the mystery plays into our contemporary time:»NEUER TANZ goes Pop«.
